Worldwide Export Packing Case – Sea Freight, Road Freight, Air Freight

Our Worldwide export packing cases are made to measure to each individual shipment.

The specifications for each type are as follows:

IEP1

Suitable for road transport within UK and Europe. Air freight worldwide with caution.

Strong timber framed base suitable for lifting via fork truck.

Our unique Forestry commission number is 190 which is stencilled on all timbers used.

Construction of base in accordance with BS1133, section 8. Generally ring shanked nails used.

Equipment bolted to base where possible to prevent movement.

Equipment usually blocked & secured by way of timbers surrounding the pallet base.

Cord strap or heavy duty banding to secure equipment in place.

Cushioning material to prevent banding causing cosmetic damage .

Shrink wrap polythene draped over and secured around the base and heated to tighten polythene.

IEP3

Suitable for Road,Air freight worldwide

Commonly used for Air freight due to the lightweight construction and the means of strengthening if required.

May be loaded for groupage Sea Freight with caution.

These are usually constructed from 100 x 19mm soft wood timber with sheathing (9.5mm Elliottis Pine Plywood – exterior grade) Fork truck runners (75 x 50mm ) with the means of strengthening if required by means of a complete soft wood base.

Construction is in accordance with BS1133 section 8.

Equipment bolted to base to prevent movement

Internal Bracing timbers used to fully restrain item/equipment from possible movement and damage. Neoprene foam to be attached to to timbers to prevent chaffing and scuffing of paintwork.

Heavy duty woven polyester to cover top of lid to assist in preventing contamination from dust and rainfall.

Additional wrapping and hermetically sealed equipment in barrier foil material/bag where required.

IEP5

Suitable for Road, Sea and Air freight worldwide

Suitable for groupage/loading via trailer and sea freight container.

Commonly used for rigorous mechanical/equipment where corrosion is not generally susceptible.

Close boarded case(sides,end & lid) generally manufactured from soft wood sections of 150 x 25 mm timber (butt jointed)

Inside of case completely lined with a water proof protective paper and item draped in polythene where required.

Strong sturdy base suitable for lifting via fork truck/over head crane.

Base construction/sections of softwood timber generally 100 x 75 mm with top base boards being 100 x 25mm

Equipment bolted to base where possible to prevent movement.

Internal bracing timbers used to fully restrain item/equipment from possible movement and damage. Neoprene foam to be attached to timbers to prevent chaffing and scuffing of paint work

Heavy duty woven polythene to cover top of lid and descending 100mm down the sides and ends to assist in the prevention of contamination from dust and rainfall.

Additional wrapping and hermetically sealing equipment in barrier foil material/bag where required.

All our cases are constructed in compliance with BS1133.

All timber used is heat treated in full compliance with ISPM15 and our unique forestry commission number is 190. This number is stenciled on all timbers used.
