Oil Pipes – 21 Tonne

Project Description

We were asked to pack 21T 8.45 metre drill pipes and devise an innovative solution. 

To ship them to Bussan, a new form of containerisation was needed to avoid damage during loading. Our design team set to work on a reusable option so pipes could slide in and out of containers undamaged. 

The solution – A bespoke heavy duty skid base to fit the diameter of the pipes. After loading by 50T twin lift cranes at our packing facility off the A1, between Lincoln and Newark, the customer was delighted to know this all happened within hours of the cargo arriving, with all the necessary documentation.
